Familias Unidas' mission is to help keep families together by assisting low-income clients in achieving not just legal status and economic self-sufficiency, but also in becoming fully active participants in the social and civic life of our community through exceptional immigration legal services, education, and advocacy.
We value communication and strive to make sure that you and your loved ones understand the legal process.
Community Council of Idaho’s Immigration Legal Services Program, Familias Unidas, offers affordable immigration legal services to families and individuals in Canyon County and the surrounding areas. Services are also available at select locations across Idaho via Skype.
The cost of all services is determined using a sliding-fee schedule based on total household income. Consultations are by appointment only and cost $40.
We can help you apply for an immigrant visa (IV) to obtain permanent residence for work or educational purposes in the United States.
Adjustment of Status
Applying for permanent residency takes time and can be complicated. We work to ensure your application process is error free and on track.
Do you have a dream of becoming a full-fledged, voting citizen of the United States? Working towards full citizenship is a journey. You’ll want experienced legal guides that will be there when you need them.
Have you or a loved one suffered substantial mental or physical abuse? Special U VISAs are available so that you can stay protected in the United States and see justice be served.
If you are a United States citizen or LPR (Green Card Holder) you may be able to file an immigration petition for certain family members such as parents, spouses, siblings, adult children (married or unmarried), and minor children.
We litigate applications for Asylum, Withholding of Removal and Protection under the International Convention Against Torture.
